ARCHES has evolved from being a grant-making organization to providing capability development support to its collaboratives to ensure their capacity and sustainability. Currently, ARCHES Alliance members receive targeted support from ARCHES in the following areas:
-
- Fundraising: ARCHES Alliance members receive communications throughout the year about funding opportunities that are relevant to their work. ARCHES also provides assistance in proposal development to support collaboratives in their work.
-
- Strategic Planning and Resource Alignment: Through the EdCAR evaluation tool, ARCHES and its collaboratives are able to assess the degree to which their organizational structure is aligned to their efforts in achieving their primary objectives.
-
- Technical Assistance and Collaborative Coaching: ARCHES collaborative coaching focuses on reflection, brainstorming and strategizing the maximum benefit within the local context for leaders of intersegmental, multi-sector collaboratives. ARCHES coaching is interactive and collaborative planning that occurs through discussion and facilitated engagement between ARCHES and collaborative leader(s). Coaching is tailored to the unique needs of the local context. The goal of “collaborative coaching” is to align and measure collaborative efforts, professional capacities, and initiative development to strategic priorities and indicators framed by the ARCHES essential collaborative drivers. ARCHES coaching and strategic support is informed by ARCHES Collaborative Diagnostic Tool (ACDT) data.
